Flag-Soprema provides a range of comprehensive warranties from 10 to 20 years as standard on all our systems under the name of Sopracover. This insurance backed warranty covers both product and workmanship, depending on the design life of the system, including consequential loss, product liability and design liability. There is no minimum surface area treated or project value required to qualify for the warranty.

Maintenance Check

Following is a list of maintenance guidelines that are recommended for Flagon Roofing Systems. These maintenance items will help provide for the maximum performance from your recently installed roof.

• Keep the roof surface clean at drain areas to avoid clogging of outlets. This will also avoid overloading the roof.
• Keep all petroleum based products off the membrane, (solvents, greases, oil or any liquid containing a petroleum product) to avoid potentially degrading the membrane. Large deposits should be immediately removed and cleaned.
• Kitchen wastes should not be exhausted onto the surface of the roof. Depending on the type and quantity, they could potentially damage the membrane. Large deposits should be removed and the surface cleaned.
• If your roof comes in contact with any chemicals, please contact Flag-Soprema UK Ltd. for information regarding the possible effects on the membrane and any cleanup methods for the chemical spill.
• Keep roof traffic to a minimum. Walkways should be provided if regular traffic is required or if rooftop equipment has regular thirty (30) days or less maintenance schedule.
  Caution: Slippery when wet. Flag-Soprema recommends the placement of walkways to and from all areas needing regular maintenance. Exercise caution when walking on walkways.
• Do not use roof mastic to repair the membrane.
• When the occasional use of ladders requires them to be placed on the roof, spread the load with a suitable size of wood plank at the ladder base.
• Do not paint the roof surface, the solvents in the paint may have an adverse effect on the membrane.
• Emergency repairs can be made with ordinary duct tape or any good grade of silicone based sealant. Notify Flag-Soprema  of this action so that permanent and approved repairs can be made.
• If you have a leak, make sure it is a roofing system leak and not a kerb, rooflight metal ductwork or plumbing leak causing the problem. The building owner must pay the investigation and repair costs if the problem is found to be outside the scope of the roofing obligation. All leaks shall be repaired immediately.
• If a new equipment unit or other penetration must be installed through the roof, or there is an addition to the building, contact Flag-Soprema UK Ltd. to co-ordinate the installation of the required flashing. Do not attempt to modify the roofing system with unauthorised contractors.
• Do not store materials on the roof.
